A downloadable game for Android

A fully playable, round-based VR jousting prototyping built with Unity for the Quest 2 in a few weeks.

  • Your character's items, a shield and your lance, are on the left and right side of you from the start, respectively. Make sure to keep your hands gripped at all times or you will drop your items.
  • If you happen to drop or 'lose' one of your items, make sure your hands are empty and then touch the white 'Reset Objects' flag, to the left of your starting area. There is also a flag that you can touch to reset the game if you have a bug, or you want to play again.
  • In jousting, your shield is always equipped on your left hand, and your lance on your right.
  • The score-board is visible when you are inside your starting area. Icons below your name indicate what you have hit, and whether it was a standard hit or a 'perfect' hit
  • Perfect hits are attainable by striking your lance clean-centre on perfect hit 'zones', which are visually represented by colourful spherical outlines on the opponent player. These shrink as you get closer, so try to estimate the perfect 'central' zone as soon as possible and aim for that. If you want to practise this, there are test-dummies either side of the tilt-yard.
  • The green flag  represents where you and the opponent should engage a gallop,  it is dishonorable to engage a gallop before reaching the green flag
  • You control your horse via the left joystick. Push up on the left joystick to start a trot. Keep pushing up on the left joystick and hold the left trigger to engage a gallop.
  • There are three rounds, which are started by touching the horn
  • 1 point for hits on the head. 2 for the body and 3 for the shield
  • There is also a health system, which can be a way to win (reduce your opponents health to 0) Regular hit (body or shield) = 30HP Head hit = 50HP Perfect hit = normal hit values x 1.5 (edited)
  • Your health is visible on your left wrist.
